Michigan Region ActivitiesMonthly activities are scheduled for Michigan Region members and their guests
Activities for Members & Guests
The Michigan Region CCCA Activities Committee schedules a unique event almost every month of the year. These include visits to venues such as private collections (many of which are not usually open to the public); museums & libraries; restoration & manufacturing shops; design schools, art studios & galleries, etc.; and almost always involve a stop for Ice Cream!
Our current Activity flyer (shown below) is sent by mail or email to each member. It includes details of the event, date & times, cost, and the reservation information.
The email version is much more fun & interesting – it includes:
- Links to additional information,
- A link so you can create a personal driving map
- The ability make your reservation and pay the cost online (credit card or PayPal)
- Saves you the time & cost of return snail mail
- Restrictions placed on us by owners of private collections, insurance carriers, etc. mean that many of the Activities sponsored by the Michigan Region are limited to its members and their guests. If you have any questions about attendance please contact us before making your plans – email@example.com.
- Some links shown on our website will not work unless you are a member and logged in.
What types of activities could you expect if you attend one of our monthly activities?
Ice Cream Social
An annual event for the MI Region that is always fun and fulfilling! View the extensive outdoor art collection on an historic farm site. Members bring their Classic Cars for everyone’s enjoyment. And bottomless dishes of ice cream is served for everyone (and Hummers are available for the adults). An activity on everyone’s bucket list.
Annual Steak Roast
The MI Region annual Steak Roast is held on the grounds of a lakeside estate in Oakland county. Spend the afternoon with friends sharing Classic Cars, good music (live band), and a great collection of Classic and other vehicles. BYOB, rain or shine; don’t miss it!
Effectively Judging a Classic Car takes understanding and training! We all want to learn how our cars are judged and know that the process is uniform and fair. The MI Region sponsors an annual training session so members can learn about the Judging and Tabulating process, hone their skills, and practice on actual Full Classic® cars.
A Grand Classic is a CCCA sponsored car show where members cars are judged on standards used by virtually all Concours car shows. Whether you compete for awards or not – this is a chance to show and learn how your car compares to other vehicles based on uniform criteria such as authenticity, condition, and safety.
We are privileged to visit many of the private collections in our Region that are not generally open to the public. Automobiles of every class, era, and category; memorabilia; art, music boxes, etc.
Fall Color Tour
The Fall Colors in southeast Michigan are spectacular! A great opportunity to get the Classic out for perhaps the last drive before winterizing it. A comfortable drive over back roads, stop at a cider mill or lunch, enjoy the crisp weather and fellowship of members and guests.
Our Region has some of the finest museums and private collections in the world. Join with us to visit places you might otherwise not get to see.
A CARavan is a CCCA sponsored driving tour – usually a week or longer with many scheduled stops along an historic route, in an interesting region of the country (even some international CARavans). These events usually draw up to 100 cars and people from around the country. Fun, food, friends – CARavans have it all!
Concours Car Shows
Want to see some of the world’s finest cars in a beautiful setting? What if you could also see more than cars? How about boats, airplanes, race cars, sports cars; attend an auction, seminar, cocktail party, banquet; stay in a world famous resort? Then you want to attend a Concours!
